Van Muze tot Meesterwerk

Our summer of equine art 2024 began with the extraordinary 'Van Muze tot Meesterwerk' exhibition at the Gagelgat farm in Soest, the Netherlands, held in partnership with De Paardenkamp for the third consecutive time.

In April, artists from the Paard Verzameld Collective visited De Paardenkamp to prepare for the upcoming summer exhibition and seek inspiration for their artwork. As in previous years, these Inspiration Days were filled with plein air sketching, opportunities for connecting with fellow artists, and a chance to reacquaint themselves with De Paardenkamp, national retirement home and knowledge center for older horses and ponies.

Featuring 12 talented international artists from the Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, and America, the event showcased a diverse array of art forms inspired by the residents of the Paardenkamp. From paintings, illustrations, photos, videos, and 3D works to conceptual pieces, visitors were immersed in a world of equine artistry that catered to art enthusiasts of all kinds.

Attendees also had the chance to participate in engaging workshops and life drawing sessions, with the artists themselves on hand to share their stories and techniques, adding a personal touch to the whole experience.

'Van Muze tot Meesterwerk' succeeded in uniting art enthusiasts and creative minds in a captivating and inspiring atmosphere. It was truly a celebration of equine artistry, offering something for everyone to appreciate and enjoy.
